Ingredients:
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
12 Winans Sea Salt Caramels, chopped
Sprinkle of sea salt (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8x8 baking pan with parchment.

In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda) and set aside

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. As soon as butter melts completely, remove from heat and add brown sugar to saucepan and whisk for 1-2 minutes. Let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Add butter and sugar to stand mixer. Add vanilla and egg; whisk to combine. Add the dry ingredients and whisk to combine.

Add half chopped Winans Sea Salt Caramels to batter and mix. Reserve half for after baking.

Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake 26-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Immediately top with remaining chopped Winans Sea Salt Caramels and sprinkle with sea salt, if desired.

Let cool completely before cutting into squares or rectangles.
