Should you freeze your whole coffee beans?

Should you freeze your whole coffee beans?

Yes—but only if you're storing them for later.

If you'll finish a bag within a few weeks, keep your whole beans in an airtight container at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture. That's the best way to preserve fresh flavor.

If you have extra coffee you won't use for a month or more, freeze it in airtight, single-use portions. When you're ready to brew, let the sealed bag come to room temperature before opening it to prevent moisture from forming on the beans.

A little care goes a long way—so every cup tastes as fresh as the day it was roasted.

Happy brewing!
